Chateau Roubine Lion & Dragon Rouge - AOP Côtes de Provence - Cru Classé 2020 14.5% 750ML
Lion et Dragon red is among the great reds of Provence, a nose of red cherry and black pepper. Aromas of garrigue as well as black olive and vanilla add more complexity to this cuvée. On the palate, it is an expressive and spicy wine, coffee and black fruits are present. A good guard potential, the tannins will skate over time.

CHATEAU ROUBINE
Château Roubine is located in Lorgues between the massifs of Esterel and Sainte-Baume, it is a property of 130 hectares including 72 vineyards. In Provençal, “Roubine” means “stream”, indeed the one who passes on the property conferring his name to the castle.
ROUBINE, A WINE ESTATE BRANDED BY FRENCH HISTORY
Built on an ancient Roman road, the Roubine vineyard has been known since the 14th century for having been the property of the Order of Templars. After passing through the hands of various Provence families, Château Roubine was fragmented in 1789. He returned in 1923 to Rohan Chabot, who entrusted him to the Ott family, and was finally bought by the current owner, Valérie Rousselle, in 1994. Chateau Roubine is also one of 23 wine estates to be listed among the Crus Classés des Côtes de Provence since 1955. Its coat of arms, adorned with a lion and a dragon, represents the symbols of the cities of Lorgues and Draguignan, protected by the Provencal sun.
A TERROIR SUITABLE FOR VINE CULTURE AT CHÂTEAU ROUBINE
Château Roubine has a very special situation since it stretches near a circus, a single stand between the Verdon and the Mediterranean. The vineyard has been conducted in reasoned agriculture and labeled since 2017. Roubine also grows up to 13 different varieties on a clay-calcareous terroir ideally exposed on an East-West axis. Its soils are extremely well drained thanks to the stream present on the property, which actively contributes to the good development of life throughout its life cycle and subsequently to the development of the Château Roubine wine of Provence rosé, red and white.
